December First

It's December 1st and finally
I'm starting to get sick
I came out of the library and
There's fog in the square

Friday night what should I do
When symptoms start to kick in
First a bowl of tortellini
Who knows? Maybe broth can help

But I notice that the tree is still unlit
(Even if they say it was about to fall down
Looks like most people in the square
Protest against cutting down trees)

As always celebrating Christmas
Requires sacrifices
As always celebrating Christmas
Requires sacrifices

As always celebrating Christmas
Requires sacrifices
As always celebrating Christmas
Requires sacrifices

I hate Winter
I came out of work and there is no sunshine
Now it's night and there's a crazy wind
That's warming the whole town

Should I go to bed or should I finish
Writing this last verse
I'ma bounce the mp3
And I hope Sam has some ideas

Well no, Sam's at the lake so we must not disturb
Plus my throat is getting worse and worse
I'm afraid I won't make it to the end
Unless – let's say the end is now

Let's hope these strong and hot and weird winds
Don't tear up our beloved tree
Cause celebrating Christmas '23
Requires sacrifices

Let's hope these strong and hot and weird winds
Don't tear up our beloved tree
Cause celebrating Christmas '23
Requires sacrifices

Let's hope these strong and hot and weird winds
Don't tear up our beloved tree
Cause celebrating Christmas '23
Requires sacrifices

Let's hope these strong and hot and weird winds
Don't tear up our beloved tree
Cause celebrating Christmas '23
Requires sacrifices
