The Promise

I am here, I am listening, I know your pain, I have loved you before you knew this world
I love you now, I love you yesterday, and I love you tomorrow
Love tells the truth
You see, my voice has not found you today so that I can comfort you

My voice has found you because you have asked for me
You have asked for change, and that is who I am
The miracle that will help you change your life, that will help you heal, that will help you find why you came here
I'm not meant to be your saving grace

I know there are times where you cry out, why?
Why can't you just take it all away
How could you let something so terrible happen
How could you let darkness do this to me

My darling, if you only knew
I do not fear darkness
I allow it to exist
Without darkness, there is no light
And pain is good, but suffering, that doesn't help anyone

There are rules, ones that I will never break, but ones that have been broken
Darkness
Darkness came into your life in a time when you had no choice
When you were too young to know

And I am angry
And I will fight for you
But you must know that I cried with you
I held you in the moments where darkness covered you

I was there
And I promised you that I would come back and I would make this right

So that you have an opportunity to experience the beauty of this life

Darkness has underestimated love

So that you can not only feel me

You can see me
So that you may know me

It does not matter who I am
But it does matter that you know
Someone heard you
And loved you enough

To promise you
And bend universal laws
To find you
To guide you
To heal you

Because now you are not too young
Now you have the greatest gift this world can offer you
Choice
The choice is yours
And I am here to bring it back to you

While we cannot change what has been done
I am powerful
And I am here
To restore
What has been taken from you

This rebellion
Is not meant
To build anger inside of you

It's not meant to motivate you to fight darkness
I will fight for you
But I want you

To heal
To feel
To see
To see the beauty of this life
Because it is

Here's the thing
I am here
But you have been waiting
So why am I here now
Because I am the very front line of a new era

An era of emotion
An era of magic
An era of you

The world wants you to feel lost
It wants you to feel small
It wants you to be quiet
It wants you to conform

It wants you to work

So in this new era
Information is out

Everything that darkness hates
