Primordial Archaic Reversion

Beyond the walls
That fence the sheep
Where roads abyssal
Endings reach
Beneath sheets
Of blanket waves
Far beyond
The midnight caves
We see no light
We see no dawn
We tend
The necropolis of the gods

Why did we come here
Why did we leave
The wind has died
Beneath the tide
Now sorrow is our yield
The corn that once was golden
The grass that once was green
Zealous servants
The giant's thralls
We answered
The humble prayers of the gods

Why did you come here
To follow in our stead
We spend our days
In pious chains
In service to the dead
Sepulchre of the serpent
We worship on this bed
Awaiting her exhalted return
In drowned hallways
The black candles burn

Fire
