Cool Building

Under the surface is a dirty sludge
A hundred thousand miles deep
I wish that i could purify it
And see the creatures that creep

If you saw a photograph of jesus
Would he still be a mystical man?
Your opaque eyes they drive me crazy
Your black curtain drives me mad

Details were undone
Like you were left in the sun, sun

I know its bad
I think about you every single night
Think of the secrets you keep
Used to think we were an unwritten story
But then i saw your lock and key

There's a couple buildings i pass every day on the 101
I've seen them in my periphery throughout my life
When i went to school in tarzana and i worked in silverlake
I took a moment to acknowledge how pretty they were
I never knew what was inside or what their purpose was
But they're a footnote in my life nonetheless
You live in my mind but all i know is what you let me see
I guess you're just a cool building
