Miss May

Little Miss May
With her ice cold tea
Was the sweetest damn thing
That I ever did see

Mondays, Fridays
Every other week
She was kissing and hugging and loving
On me

Highly restless
Got no sleep
She was headed over from the next town
See...

Her boss man husband
Sports car clean
Never really gave her everything that she
Needs

But sweet Miss May
Couldn't leave
Bruised and dazed
She would be
(Oh he was mean now)

She rolled in
'Bout half past three
I was sitting over
On the old porch swing

Parked her car
And the next I see
She was painting makeup
On the collar of my tee

He rolled by
He saw me
Down and out in the first round
Geez
(That boy could swing now)

When I came to
I could not believe
Miss may was sitting
On my old porch swing
Crimson stains on her faded jeans
A forty five laying down at her feet

Oh my miss may

Oh miss may
