Nowhere Town

You could call it a small town
But that isn't really saying enough
Yeah it's a little out of the way
But that doesn't really do it justice

The kinda place you hear about
Growing up you couldn't wait
To get out...

We played outside in our bare feet
And made out once or twice in a back seat
We drank beer in an orange grove field
That was Friday night where I grew up

We'd waste our time driving around
The same old streets
With our radios cranked up loud
Thinking about just one thing
Not what we'd become

In a nowhere town like it sounds
Where I'm from

Sundays we gave our thanks
And at football games
We got a little crazy
It was life at a different pace
Where a parking lot space
Was the place that you rallied

We'd hang around
And shut the place down

We played outside in our bare feet
And made out once or twice in a back seat
We drank beer in an orange grove field
That was Friday night where I grew up
We'd waste our time driving around
The same old streets
With our radios cranked up loud
Thinking about just one thing
Not what we'd become

In a nowhere town like it sounds
Where I'm from

Yeah well it's in my blood
It's that small town feel
It's the smell of the mud
It's an old ball Cap
Sitting right on the dash
Of an old ford truck
That's taking me back

We played outside in our bare feet
And made out once or twice in a back seat
We drank beer in an orange grove field
That was Friday night where I grew up

We'd waste our time driving around
The same old streets
With our radios cranked up loud
Thinking about just one thing
Not what we'd become

Now that nowhere town kinda sounds
Pretty good when you here all about it now
A little nowhere town like it sounds
Where I'm from...
