Pink Dollar Bills

Well let me tell you about
A chain of events that took place
In the middle of Wisconsin
On a cold dark day
I was walking alone
On a road out of place
When I saw one hundred hundred dollar bills
Staring at my face

They were whisked around
Falling out of a burlap sack
That was wrapped around a body
With a bullet in his back
And I thought, "Go ahead and take them"
"Maybe just a few stacks"
But before I could decide
Suddenly off went the dye pack

So before I went with humanity
I knowingly decided no
This high life type of insanity
Lies within this bag I hold

Choking on a coral colored cloud in the sky
I thought, "This is stupid"
"There's no way that I'm this type of guy"
But some confidence came over me
When I opened up my eyes
And saw that all the Benji Franklins
Were staring back into mine

So I ran through the fields
Ran past the mills
Holding on tight to my pink dollar bills
That's when I heard a bunch of sirens coming over the hills
And the going-back-to-the-middle kills, mother fucker
I need more
I need more

So before I went with humanity
I knowingly decided no
This high life type of insanity
Lies within this bag
Oh
Ha ha ha

So before I went with humanity
I knowingly decided no
This high life type of insanity
Was within this bag I hold
Did I do it for vanity
To see if I could be bold
To escape what's always been expected of me
Sounds better than growing old
