Unfeathered

(Drawn to a room with sweet, black, vicious walls
With one taste, I begin to fly)

Shortly after my head is torn from the inside out
My skin peels as paper to flames
Only when I consume the walls, my pain disappears
I need the taste to feel again

I am God's abomination
A poisoned crow unfeathered by bliss
I would trade it all away
For a moment to fly once again

The open door shines into darkness
I can leave this place whenever I may please
The heavenly pleasure outweighs the suffering
I can't lеave this place; I'll nevеr be the same

Mark of the destined
I'm meant to be
Mark of the tragic
Forever I'll stay
A leech for the impulse

I am God's abomination
A poisoned crow unfeathered by bliss
I would trade it all away
For a moment to fly once again

(The exit sealed behind me
I must rid myself of this cage
I'll dig until the nails and skin of my hands tear
Then I'll claw my way out by the marrow of my bones)
