Renaissance

I see a colourless Desire
My heart is warm and dying
Our fire has been detained
From entering our minds
To kill our brain

So I'll lay down
And take the pain
Mouth my words
To keep my name

I've been along this road
Countless times I drove
My car is feeling empty
So I'll Say

In memory
Our lives are stored
But we must maintain
A strong emotion of words
And maybe it just might be
Enough to carry me across
This silent bridge
But sometimes I want to jump
Right off the edge

My body sings out
But the world has been muted
A suicidal now to be disputed
So do I take my leap of faith
Or walk across this bridge Till I'm safe?

My limitations
Hold me back from restraining myself
These temptations
Growing on me and sending me Home
But in the end, I know I will that I'll perish
Never to return, help is not wanted
My body's sore and I really need to lift
This boat off the ground, to send it far away to adrift
But as the sun goes down and underneath the waves
The night comes along to dance on my days

This Renaissance
Is My Light
So Guide me back home
And settle in the night
And once the fire finally goes out
We'll dance till the day we die
