Reverie

Not so far not so long ago
We were kids playing in the snow
We learned all that we know
Through trial and error
We would sneak out after dark
We would meet up in the park
Smoke a couple of big ones
Then we'd sleep it off

Now it seems like I'm growing old
When I'm here standing in the cold
Man this stuff doesn't hit me
Like it did before
Maybe it's time I grow up
Maybe I have had enough
'cause I don't think I believe
In dreams anymore

Take me back to where we used to go

Long live the memories
Of lost youth and seldom stories
This is my reverie
For friends I never get to see
I love you, I always will
But you know sometimes life happens

Most times I wanna hit the road
To the towns that I used to know
All the signs on the highway
They call me home
We would reminisce and kid
About the stupid things we did
Have a couple of cold ones
Then we'd pack it in

Gotta work gotta go to school
Gotta play gotta write the tunes
I got so much to do, so little time too
But I do it all with love
Keeps my mind from drifting off
And maybe one day I'll show up
At your front door

Long lives the memories
Of lost youth and seldom stories
This is my reverie
For friends I never get to see
I love you, I always will
But you know sometimes life

Long lives the memories
Of lost youth and seldom stories
This is my reverie
For friends I never get to see
I love you, I always will
But you know sometimes life happens

This is my reverie
For friends I never get to see
