The Mighty Unveiling

You know one thing about a chocolate cake is you want to make sure that it's not, you
Don't want it to be lumpy, you want those chocolate chips ground up so you have it nice
And fine there
It's got to mix in, it's got to mix in real smooth

Sometimes they stick a little bit on there but you just got to, you just got to keep
At it and you know they, those things, they crunch down, crunch down pretty good
Sometimes you got to kind of scrape them off the side but you know, I think it's working
Just fine

Yeah, I think everything is going just fine, don't you
Yeah, I think so

I hope they can stand a while before the slouch comes on
Cause eight years turns to twelve, then a sad, sad song
She was tumbling over her giant Lego tower
Little duckies falling over in the shower

When the keyboard plays itself so you can clap your hands
I hope the fall isn't the break that understands
I first heard it before I lived it, homesick blues
And one day she can fit in mama's shoes

The sky is so much bigger when you're small
Most of us don't see the sky at all
As soon as I hit the needle on the head
Dil Pickles started wishing he was dead

Well the Kool-Aid only works if you believe
When they say the abracadabra, that's when I leave
Cause I can tell a prophet when they're faking
The structure cries out loud as it's breaking

It's a mighty unveiling
It's a mighty unveiling
Better hold on to the railing

Well the beaming eyes see past the sickening state
The unveiling comes too fast, you hurry up and wait
For this happy-go-lucky feeling to come again
Then it's 63 years just pissing in the wind

And she's out collecting berries for her mommy
But her clumsy legs cave in under her body
Tell me, how could you ever be so nonchalant?
When somersaults and berries are all you want

And the van is making emphysema wheezes
The diagnostic yields uncommon diseases
One day it makes its way to the junkyard grave
The cost ain't worth the life you're trying to save

And she's finally learned how to say, I want
It's all you need to order at the restaurant
If they don't give it to you, you can cry, "Waa waa waa waa!"
Now the little child knows how to lie

It's a mighty unveiling
It's a mighty unveiling
Better hold on to the railing

100 years is too much time to think
Open up the fridge, there's one more drink
Milk the blood, maintain a stasis will
No deeper meaning to that fool on the hill

She reads and writes, and she's the top in her class
And Cody drew the shortest straw, gotta squeeze her ass
She's unbearably in love, gonna be his wife
She'll show mom and dad she can live her life

But it's another murder-suicide town
And I wake up to some demolition sound
All those pharmaceutical companies will get paid
And Dil Pickles strikes up the band, he's got it made

And someone told her she's got pretty eyes
She's not allowed to hang with the older guys
Every bone in her body hurts now, cause it ain't no game
The mighty unveiling finally came

When it was coming out, it was kind of neat because I had this idea that a caesarean really
Wouldn't look like a vaginal delivery, but it did

I mean, it is, it's delivery out of the, well, I mean, it comes through the uterus
I mean, the baby's head came out of the uterus, and it was so big, they were just going, whoa
