A Dozy Mind

He's always been a dozy mind
But through his eyes the world looks everything but grey
He soon began to lag behind
And he found out that this is just okay
He says: Why run when you can also stay?

Life is not meant to be a race!
At least for him, he does not care to waste a day
He takes things at a slower pace
Although he always hears the people say
Stop being idle, you've got bills to pay!
The gig is on and you're not even on your way!

He's living in a world of daydreams
What's going on in his mind?
He keeps on being such a lazy, crazy fellow
But one of a kind

(...)

They say: This fellow is hearing the grass grow!
Don't pay attention to him, keep your head low!
He seems to look out for things that we don't know
He's been a weirdo since long ago!

His mind gets carried away by the wind, oh
You'll find his heart is not made out of flint, no!
He's fine, now finally stop walking on tiptoes
He's kind, so start being friends, not foes!

He's always been a dozy mind
But through his eyes the world looks everything but grey
He soon began to lag behind
And thus he found out how to seize the day
He learned to look at things the other way
He says: When you find beauty you can simply stop and stay!
