Sunshine

Whoever told you that the sun don't shine?
Whoever said that it's not my time...
All that is for me will be for me
I'm just gonna keep doing my thing
Because who told you that the sun don't shine?

Traveling this path that illumines before every step I take
I'm like a fat kid to some cake when I'm speaking on my faith
In the past it wasn't possible, my brain just wouldn't shape this
Now it's like kinetic sand the way that God plays it
I look to the sky in amazement, to think this
All began with the power of thought and it's such a divine creation
I been teeter tottering between new age and God's Grace
I put myself in God's place to find it was a my-stake (mistake)
But I learned to focus on my mind state
And not contribute any to this ever growing crime rate
My city in a frenzy, wonder if I ever will return
Invest in a home I yearn, to build up the blocks I burned
And then some. Pay it forward, get it done.
Look in the mirror, do you see yourself as you are?
I'm just asking for a friend.
My troop of 99, I'm coming to retrieve the fallen one ☝
