Meadows

Let me take you back again
To the mountains and lush fields
The meadows seemed a different time
Carrying everyone green in their path

The rhododendrons brighten the way
Did societies happen in the past
Flocks of sheep flout at the favoured mortal reign
Waiting for their hour
As they grazed

Will we remember
With such precision
Does our spirit hang here
And if it happens, I'd be glad then

The breeze from the drenched oak touched
Invading, I'm possessed
The clouds sway clearing the canvas
Leaving a smile for the sun to shine again

Will we remember
With such precision
Does our spirit hang here
And if it happens, I'd be glad then
