Santa Took a Break in New Orleans

The Holidays are normally set aside for family and traditions
Needing a break last year I escaped to an exotic location
To a place I'd heard "You gotta go" tales about but never been
Down Ol' Man River on the Mississippi Queen

Yeah disembarked at the dock on Christmas Eve in the Crescent City
From the river's bank it's quaint and oh-oh so pretty
Soon found myself down in the festive French Quarter
With every block my eyes got wider and wider. Ooo-Ooo-Wee

Eureka. Ca va. Comme ci, comme ca. Santa appeared to have a need
And took a break in New Orleans. Mmmm
What a scene. Unh-hunh. I mean. Unh-hunh
Santa tossing x-rated candy canes. Mmmmm
In a red velvet thong, and rainbow beard
Yelling, "Merry Christmas, y'all! Santa's gotcha covered. Y' hear"

I'm not a man of the world though I've seen some pretty crazy things (yes I have)
But Christmas Eve and Santa's special toys was uniquely New Orleans
The crowd was singing carols and having a wild and joyful time
And the candy canes I took home do impress certain friends of mine. Ooo-Ooo-Wee
