Random Thoughts from a Hammock

Winter's gone, you know here in Jersey, it won't be gone for long
Perfect night, I don't know what dew point means but this feels right
This oak tree, the only thing between the starry sky and me
In a cloud, I checked every box, Doc Maslow would be proud

If I owe you then the check's in the mail
If it's not I'll get my people on that detail
If I'm taking too long for your taste
Our new management sees no need for us to make haste

Family, They're doing fine and they're in the backyard with me
Mobile phone, full of bad news so it's on silent mode
Squared away, I don't get paid for a week but my bills are paid
Work concerns, whatever's going on gotta wait till I return

To all the people that I've hurt I wanna say
Sincere apologies and good tidings your way
Now that I've said it, please just nod if we're cool
If what I said is not sufficient, well that's kind of on you
