Mornings Like This

Wake up feeling lonely
The sky outside is so gray
Alone in my mind
On mornings like this
Stillness fills the air
Silence is all around
And I am all alone in my mind

Heart-wrenching feelings at times are hard to bear.
I often fall behind, failing to catch up
Loneliness is here
It seeps into my vein

But then, the sun rays shine through.
The birds start to sing
