Reformed

It is indeed a precious truth, reality that we hold on to, the sola scriptura
We have a word of God given to us, as Paul mentions to the Thessalonians
Focusing on them, how they received the word for what it really is, the word of God

Sola Gratia, saved by the grace alone
Given to me as a gift
Something I could never earn
Mercy from a righteous judge that I do not deserve

The wrath that I was owed was poured upon the Son
Sola fide, that is solely by the faith
Even that's a work of God, I can't claim any stake
The red letters of the gospel, in his words we trust

In his words alone, that's solus Christus
Speaking of the lettering and what's been given to us
It's only natural I hold the Sola Scriptura
Soli Deo Gloria, cause God alone be glorious

Honor and dominion be to him for what he's got for us

Sometimes, honestly, when I listen to people who attack Reformed theology
They attack the doctrines of grace
It's just so obvious that they've never ever really considered anything anyone's ever said about the subject

It's just painfully clear that they don't know what they're talking about

I was totally depraved, my spirit was in the grave
To my sin I was a slave, willing to misbehave
Not as bad as I could be, but radically just the same

Naturally in rebellion, call it Anton LaVey
Unwilling to pursue it, it's God who initiates
Electing unconditionally those he chose to save
We really would prefer to remain in a fallen state

But glory to the One who predestinates
And listen, His atonement was limited
Christ laid his life down for those who were giving him
All Paul calls the elect, He's redeeming them

All you gotta do is believe to reap the benefits
We were all drawn by grace, irresistibly
He made a stony heart turn flesh, we were enemies
Forever the High Priest, for us He intercedes

Preserving us through His Spirit, for eternity
