Electricity

I've seen them walking by day after day
I saw them moving away
And though I told them
Not to travel by night
I guess it's just what they do
And since they all are gone
I follow the night through dawn
To break on through
Because I love the life I try not to think
About all the harm it can do

Though I'm not far from it
I can feel inside of me, electricity
I thought about
All those charged particles
That run through you and me

And though I don't look back
I know they're right behind me
On their way to find me
Guess now I look back
But I can't see a sign
Believing might be easy
Knowing might be nothing
Nothing I can see
Because I love the life I try not to think
About all the harm it can do

Though I'm not far from it
I can feel inside of me, electricity
I thought about
All those charged particles
That run through you and me

I saw the units
On my own
Electroencephalogram
I don't know
What they're measuring
