Frosty Fairy

Where the depths of winter flickers
Northern lights paint the sky
There folks of the woodland shiver
The resting mid-winter sighs
Moon silent in heavens crest
Snow covers weary branches
Frozen lakes, streams, now rest
Fairy of frosty dances

Forest dreams of springs delight
Under snow scurry the mice
Woodland creatures of daylight
In slumber there is no demise
What do they see, a fairy wonder
Lush green branches, golden rays
Sparkling streams over the yonder
Fairy of frost dismays

Enchanter, the keeper of ice
Knows not the summer's breeze
Colours and scents can't entice
The one whose steps shimmering freeze
Frost flowers behind her bloom
For her the starry crown
No longing sense of gloom
Fairy of frosty gown

Where the depths of winter flickers
Northern lights paint the sky
There folks of the woodland shiver
The resting mid-winter sighs
Moon silent in clouds nest
Snow covers weary branches
Frozen lakes, streams, now rest
Fairy of frosty dances
