The Day Before Leaving

The day before leaving
It's all so nice and fresh
It's easy to imagine
Spending all you time like this
A place you hoped to leave
Turns into a home
And all the hopes and dreams it holds
Begs you to stay another day
I can't help but dreaming
Of the day I will come back
There's nothing where I'm going
So I hope I won't stay in the dark
Today, before leaving
I glanced at the morning
And tried to paint the picture of
A better day in spring

But for the now it's hang up
On regrets and invented plots
That weigh my heart down
Like an anchor in the deep sea
Will I reach surface?
Will I breathe again?
When will I breathe again?
I wonder why you gave up
Your memory, when you thought of me
Still weigh my heart down
Like an anchor in the deep sea
Oh you break my heart, every night
But I get to say the goodbyes
