I worked a nine to five doing security at a large truck post
They had a company Jeep, so I'd sit there all night till 3AM
Every night my situation, the girl you're hearing
Lived down the block and she'd come to my job and hangout in the Jeep with me for hours
We would listen to music and just talk
A real genuine moment I held onto
This was maybe around 2013, not sure really
Listening back now in 2023 I realized how much I lived and stayed in my ego
This convo went on for hours, but I sampled this part cause of how she tried to redirect the convo and focus onto her
Yet I, Jody Owens was still focused on myself, goals and most importantly revenge
I lived and held onto my ego and that oven-baked chip on my shoulder for a long time
I met a lot of great people in my life and because I wasn't vulnerable enough to keep them around and show them that they actually mean something in my life, I have nothing but memories
