Stalactites

Enough of the riff raff
Inside this concrete cavern where we slam fast
Used to call our band SHAFT
Used to call each other and ask,
"What do you think of this riff, will it last?"
All of our ideas a moving photograph
I need to make a graph of all our drafts
But I can't do math worth a rat's ass
Never could organize in the past alas
We got one album done or at least let the rough drafts pass
Six tracks, immortalized, but not on wax,
So will it really last?
I guess that's up to the masses

Sometimes we move slow as molasses
Trying to navigate the creative tall grasses
Producing songs jagged as the slashes on a car
After it crashes car 2020
Vision when we listen back,
Printed on the notes we frack,
The beats are laying too far back,
Out of sync and out of whack,

But still we stay tight as stalac.
