Seesaw

Dear Sire
Send me out by way of your sound waves
I want to soar like seagulls over sun rays
But some days we do face
The side of sizable barriers
I know that you provide
But i'd lie to not admit
I feel the weight in the pit of my gut
Every time the end of the month approaches
And the cost of life on earth reaches
Out and tries to rip the goodness i want to offer
Right off of the top of my table
From what i thought had enough of

They say love is all you need
But that doesn't feed
The mouths of my spouse and kids
And i know plenty of folks
Who say they loved but did
Unthinkable things
To those they supposedly lived for
Because all the love on the planet
Can't heal the messed up parts
Within the individual
Or mend the broken hearts
From those they hurt along the path
Of becoming better people

So i lie face down on the ground here
In hopes of receiving your healing
Most High may i hear a reply
Before i have to arise
And return to the grind again

A sign of the times
Is the lack of a friend
So you say
Become one to someone
In order to see some in your life
A seesaw has two sides
And the force of another on either end
Enables the rise of each of us
In just the right timing
