In Another Lifetime
Okay run it, lets listen to it
Go,
I'm living in another lifetime, did it for myself
I chose the life to put different stuff on my shelf
Little naive, boy from no where wants to be big
This ain't no ordinary story, like the one's on TV
He grew up to be a fuck up, like his uncle was
He was sent to the best school for good education
So his parents wouldn't worry about that problem
But little did they know, he was seeing unsual shit
It all started from the small age of seven
Where he would listen to hip hop music in his room
He kept it to himself till he was eleven
But till then he was spitting and rhyming in his room
He still remembers seeing shit move on its own
But he also remembers the visions God sent
Especially when there was no one at all
He couldn't make a call at the time, so he was all alone
Knew he was different, at least that's for what he was known
All the times he fell, and went home with bloody knees
But he had something that no one knew deep down
He was wanted, but not for the looks or books
He was loved and hated in a way, he never understood
He started loving the game more than himself
As time went by his dreams grew bigger by size and mind
No one could fully understand, so they gave up
Nothing was of interest to him, he knows what he wanted
Rapping and writing verses in school while no one noticed
Until he wanted to make the big moves and asks
I want something different for christmas this year
Maybe a studio session and a mic would be fine
Everyone looks confused into the boys eye's
Knowing no one makes it by taking this path in life
But they were convinced, he got the stuff and started sharing
Just to show the little kid how much they were caring
About him, his future, his present and his mind
He started, putting the same work he did on a mic
Knowing everyone would be listening one day
He didn't have a fear of judgment or self conscious
He just gave his heart out into something he enjoyed
Im living in another lifetime, I can't do the same shit
That I once did before I had this big dream
Living in another lifetime, no regrets but I wish
Some things went differently, that now impact my life
Another lifetime, my dad wouldn't have been the same
Living with a step dad and step mum going to different places
Drug addicts going around like they live at home
working at fifteen to pay mum the bills she can't afford
Whilst dad is out trying to get his life together but he can't
But in this lifetime, my dad works from 6 to 5
Just to put more than enough food on the table
Just for this lifetime
Just for this lifetime
When things started taking a turn into the kids life
People around him were surprised and confined
Into saying the wrong shit to him and being misunderstood
The kid listened to every detail he needed
In order to improve and continue his journey
But this is where the real problems started
He was always being thrown into unwanted trouble
Saying the wrong shit around the wrong people
He saw death in front of his eye's for a couple times
But he was the realest his friends would ever find
He would die trying to get something done for someone
Which could also backfire as he got backstabbed
But that's life, no complaints for the pain just rage
Go,
I'm living in another lifetime, did it for myself
I chose the life to put different stuff on my shelf
Little naive, boy from no where wants to be big
