Daybreak and we're greeted
By an impish old chap
He tells us there's a bar here
Puts Dublin on the map
Tiptoe to the basement
There's Irish craic galore
A certain kind of magic
Behind the cellar door

Prowling down the alleys
The night is so sweet
The city's got rhythm
I can feel it in my feet
Pass upon the cellar
Where the Guinness goes quite cheap
The door is ajar
The city asleep
