Remember when life was all morning cartoons,
And sleepovers asking Mom not to pick us up so soon?
Catching lizards in the grass
Playing marbles with my friends
No sense of when or past
Just wondering where the dirt road ends. We were

Standing tall on the train, no sight of a friendly face
Just yawns and nods that all feign, we're alive though in a daze
