Midday Sun

The warmth of
The midday
The midday sun

Shone upon
None other than
The only Son

Who hung on
Nailed on
The crimson cross

His clothes and
His robes were
Cast for lots

Lots of people
Were saved by Him
But he didn't save himself

Don't bastardize your own lives
By the sins and lies you let win
Jesus Christ crucified
We live even though we die
If it hadn't been for Him
We'd be dead in our sins

Do not let my heart be drawn to what is evil
So that I don't take part of those evil deeds

Do not let my heart be drawn to what is evil
So that I don't take part of those wicked deeds
Along with
Evildoers delicacies

Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom
That cannot be shaken
Let us be thankful
And so worship God acceptably
With reverence and awe
For our God is a consuming fire
