Culture Sphere

If you could go any place for a day, then tell me where would you go
Would you go to Maine or a Kansas plain or get lost in Mexico
Maybe take a day to feel the white sand and the culture of the Maldives
Or go visit islands down in Fiji and take a dive in blue seas
If I could go any place for a day I'm not really sure what I'd do
What would I see, what would I think, a really tough choice do I have to pick and choose
Maybe go to NYC and experience plays at legendary Broadway
Maybe witness colors in the beautiful northern lights up in otherworldly Norway
Always wanted to travel to the snow capped mountain of Fuji
Hike up hike down then hit Tokyo and see all the cherry blossoms blooming
Visit Thamel in Nepal and the Taj Mahal and Tiananmen in Beijing
Then back to Osaka to a Shinto Shrine to hear them Crotal Bells ring

All these sites that I'd love to go
Where I'm gonna go I don't really know
Guess I'll find out when I'm playing on the road
Meet new people embrace their culture wanna soak in everything the whole world shows
Find myself then I come back home
Shoutin' in out from a giant plateau, yeah

So many places I wanna see
Earth's a melting pot for you and me
Take in the culture that it gives
In happiness we need to live
Love one another don't break apart
Hate only cracks and destroys the heart
We need peace for a better world
Don't let diversity unfurl

I really wanna meditate with a Shaolin Buddhist Monk
Find inner peace then get a Sitar and play some Indian funk
See Moscow go to the Red Square and eat some Russian stew
Then play Mongolian folk on a Tovshuur feeling just like The Hu (hu)
Wanna see The Alps and the Brandenburg Gate and go to Oktoberfest
Take my parents and drink enough beer to take a couple months of rest
Embrace the Acacia and the Antelope on the Serengeti Plains
Then see the oldest lighthouse Tower Of Hercules in Galicia, Spain
Visiting the Middle East has always been on my list
Find the roots of my own last name in Syria that's my wish
Go to Giza witness the Pyramids firsthand for myself
See the tree of life in the land of Bahrain fall captive to natures spell

All these things that I wanna see
Find what I want and choose what I need
Get outta my home and just roam free
See new places and leave no traces wanna leave it all behind and just be me
Destroy that lock and hide that key
Jumping in all the deepest seas, yeah

So many places I wanna see

Don't get me wrong I love my home it's a place I've come to know
From a desert in the west to a forest in the east, it's really got a lot to show
Grew up in NC then moved to CO, now I'm up in the north with the snow
The granite state live free or die what a motto to bestow
Been all around been up and down you can say I've seen a ton
But in the whole scheme it's just not enough there's a whole lot more to be done
Won't be confined to a single borderline gotta travel everywhere 'neath the sun
Wanna see the beauty of the land and people I know it's gonna leave me stunned
All these dreams of an earth loving kid with things he wants to create
Can't go just yet got songs to invent my dream'll have to wait
But when I travel I'll never change I'll always be a kid in the end
At the end of the day somehow someway I'm back with my family and friends
