The Redwood Tree

When I grow up, I want to be a redwood tree
The earth envelops me, the earth envelops me
The raindrops feed the redwood tree
Hydrating me, turns me into a forest

Tallish trees touch the sky, intermingling of roots with massive bark
Run to the river, found in the forest
A flock of birds, singing to the sun, flying in the sky
Rooted in the earth, rooted in the earth

When I grow up, I want to be a redwood tree
So no one, so no one has to take care of me
So no one, no one has to, no one has to take care of me
I am now all grown up, I am a redwood tree

The earth blankets me, the earth blankets me
The roots support me, the roots support me
The roots support me, the roots
And the earth blankets me, and the roots support me

I'm grown up, I'm grown up
I'm a redwood tree, I am a redwood tree
I am a redwood tree
