Superman

Clark turned to Lois and said I don't think that I can fly
I tried to catch a little air last night when I was chasing those bad guys
And I don't know what's goin on
But I think my super powers are gone now it's just me

Lois turned to Clark and said well I would love you anyway
Doesn't matter if you're in a suit and tie or that old faded cape
But I know what you've gotta do and you do too just try again

And I'll be here
To remind you
When you forget what's inside you
When life makes it hard
To see who you are
When hanging by a thread is all you have
I'll wait here
'Til you get you back

Clark turned to Lois and said will I ever feel the same
I used to climb tall buildings now I can't even stand up straight
And it's not just that I can't fly it's that I'm too afraid to try
cause I might fall I might fail

Lois turned to Clarke and said these things take a little time
And all those voices in your head have been telling you big lies
And I think that they just might
Be worse than kryptonite but that's okay

Cuz I'll be here
To remind you
When you forget what's inside you

Clarke turned to Lois and said I think I finally get it now
It's not pretending it won't rain again it's just trying to not to drown
So I took a leap of faith and I got out of bed today
And ain't that something
And Lois said... that's great

And I'll be here
To remind you
When you forget what's inside you
When life makes it hard
To see who you are
When hanging by a thread is all you have
I'll wait here
'Til you get you back
