Self-Conscious

She said she lived in Vegas so I packed my bags
Drove a couple hundred miles to meet that smile
Told her "Hey I'm in town, are you free for a bite?"
She said "School hasn't started yet of course I've got the time"
So I went on the Strip to look for any place fancy
And made a reservation for 2 at 6:30
Then steered my way to the address she sent me
Texted that I'm here

And there she was standing by the doorstep
Her silhouette just made me a little nervous
Holding her black purse, necklace made out of pearls
I'm in a sweat by all the things I start to notice

Oh now I'm self-conscious
She got me self-conscious
From looking so precious
She got me self-conscious

It was 10 minus 8 when we were done with our plates
Carried away gossiping about things we hate
Me and her we're similar fooled by ex-lovers
It's cause, we're way too sweet & cool then we end up getting hurt
Oh I really don't wanna put an end to our stories
But like a gentleman I take her home early
Played her favorite songs along for the car ride
Sang till we arrived

And there she was standing by the doorstep
Her silhouette still made me a little nervous
Waving our goodbyes, her eyes light up the sky
I'm in a sweat by all the things I start to notice

Oh now I'm self-conscious
She got me self-conscious
From looking so precious
She got me self-conscious

I'm picking off petals I'm testing my luck
I'm sure that she likes me but then maybe not
Didn't sin in "Sin City"
Will she wanna see me again?

Oh now I'm self-conscious
She got me self-conscious
From being so precious
She got me self-conscious
