Autumn Memories

My future lies
In front of me
To challenge all
That I can see
The way ahead
Lures and excites
The cool and dark
Seem to invite
Knowing there can be
No way out
Has given me
No cause to doubt
A great adventure
Lies ahead
Theres nothing more
That can be said
No paths to cross
The way I walk
No one to listen
When I talk
There is no stile
There is no gate
My life is in
The hands of fate
I take each twist
Follow each bend
Press on to the bitter end
This journey has
Its highs and lows
And on and on and
On and on it goes
I look above to
Glimpse the sky
See nothing but
These walls so high
As I proceed along this track
Aware there is
No turning back
I ll simply do
The best I can
To carry out
Lifes master plan
I must press on
No hesitation
Until I reach
Lifes destination
All life begins
And then it ends
What lies between
Simply depends
On every turn
And every twist
On moments grasped
And chances missed
And what I make
Of time between
Flowing onwards
Like a stream
As pollen blown
Upon the breeze
