Tungsten Moon

A season's passed
It leaves a question
"If you're still intact
Who are you?"

It used to be
That I'd get by through aches
Wrapping 'round my ribs
I find though things have changed
My body's still fitted to a casket

So I'll stay, staring
At the tungsten moon
Before it's eaten by the sky
That way, it'll burn a pinhole in my view
That glows like neon
When I sleep

I grow shells like fading scars
One over another
Just like a dying star
But stars can't breathe

So I'll stay, staring
At the tungsten moon
Before it's eaten by the sky
That way, it'll burn a pinhole in my view
That glows like neon
When I sleep
