Seahorse Song

There once was a horse that lived in the sea
You may ask how can it be
Does he run, does he swim
Doesn't he need oxygen

I'm here to tell you all today
He's from a land far away
Deep below the big blue sea
That is where you can find me

I live along with all my friends
We jump and dive into the deep end
So take a tour come with me
And let's spot all the creatures we can see

Hey look! Over there
Breaching from the water to air
It has a fin but it's not a shark
It's Mr. dolphin looking sharp

He sends his signal with a whistle and click
It travels further than you might think!
He likes to travel with his mate
Some would even call it fate

In fact a seahorse like me, mates for life
That means he never leaves his wife
Growing old together is what we do
Isn't that beautiful, just like you

Take a look, another pal
This bright red Crab is quite the gal
Born in the sand she makes her way
To the deep ocean to start her day

I promise that these are the facts
Her ten legs help support her back
Laying thousands of eggs at once
Is why they've been around so long

Ever since the dinosaurs
Crabs are still being born
The ocean creatures come in all kinds
Let's see who else we can find

It's getting late, time to unwind
How can we miss the big ocean's pride
The great blue whale is as big as it gets
We've never seen anyone bigger since

Take care of whales, aren't many left
They are the loudest voices on the planet
Big as a house, oh what a spectacle
The octopus latch on them with their tentacles

Whales can weigh up to 20 buses
I bet they eats a lot of lunches
Growing up to 100ft
Could've played basketball if had feet

I've been asked what seahorses do
To be honest I'm just like you
I eat all day to kill the time
At deep depths I'm hard to find

I guess a thing about me though
My dad's tummy, is where I grow
I also don't have many dangers
My camouflage keeps me a stranger

I'm glad you got to meet my crew
I hope you learned something new
There's so much more in the sea
I hope you come back to explore with me
