Moments Fading Fast

It begins with a single step
All I feel
Seems so surreal
As I watch dreams slip
I gave it all reached for the stars
Yet sometimes it seems to leave only scars
I climbed so high only to fall
In the end maybe it doesn't matter at all

One thing I can't comprehend
It doesn't really matter how much I've spent
Keep this in mind I crafted this verse
To recall a time when I braved the curse
Despite your doubt casting shadows on me
Acting like I was trapped couldn't break free
Recalling all the struggles the relentless war
I'm amazed we came this far
Things changed not like before
You wouldn't know me anymore
Not that you saw me then
But it all returns now and again

You held everything within
And though I strived it all gave in
What it meant to me will one day be
Just a memory of a time when I truly tried

I pushed so hard reached new heights
But in the end it's part of life's flights
I had to stumble to see it clear
But in the end it's the journey I'll revere
One truth I've come to find
It's not just about the finish line

To decode in due course life's grand design

Time a river that ceaselessly flows
Watch it race by as the evening glows
Ticking away with each fading light
Life's moments fleeting from sight
In this dream
Missed the steps below
Saw the moments swiftly go
Holding on but lost in the show
Sacrificed it all just to let you know
I embraced it all within
Even when the light grew dim
