I Love Our Family

Hanging out as a fam for the first time
Penguins, jellyfish, and tons of fun
This kind of kinship is hard to find
Later that evening we saw our first flick
A film about a Yeti named Everest was the pick
After it was over and the lights turned on
We ran around the theater like a chicken
With it's head cut off
Being in public won't stop our kooky off-
Beat, behavior, and I'd care to wager
We're the weirdest fam north of the equator
The next day I bore witness to a scrap
A mommy-daughter wrestling match
We got in our jams, laid down versa mats
And the first of many slumber parties came to pass

I love our family and the life we've built
Together, forever, I'm eternally filled
With gratitude, and I hope this don't sound cheesy
But ya'll make things in life Easie-

Fast forward all the way to July
And everything was going so well
We thought it would be best that I
Bid Fox Run Apartments farewell
It was so hard to say goodbye
And thank you for comforting me when I cried
But just so you know I had zero doubts
About moving into this loving house-
Hold, which is now chock-full
With our fur friends, Lil, Wes, and Ismo
And who can forget Marie Antoinette?
Our cute, fluffy, sassy triple threat
I know they can drive us up a wall
Like Jimmy to did Chuck in Better Call Saul
But I think I can speak for us as a whole
That they make our hearts truly warm and full

I love our family and the life we've built

Over the past year we proved we can
Binge a crap ton of the boob tube
Himym, Brooklyn, and Modern Fam
There's no doubt that we like to get glued
To the plush comfort of the couch
But we also like to get out
From Mexican Food, Thai, or Blue Sushi
Or the Drafthouse for the movies

Speaking of films there are never any skips
In the rotation of our motion picture picks
Even when it took one hundred fifty eight
Days for What's Eating Gilbert Grape
But that's ok, life tends to gets busy
Golf ball sales to the Sunny Slope committee
Or domiciliary duties
We're not guilty of being lazy
I know we browse Zillow with high hopes
And I'm excited for what the future holds
But I think we can fervently agree that
It isn't about where ya hang your hat
Rather it's about who you spend your time with
Cause in that aspect I know we got this
And I know for a fact I love both of you
More than Pandas love Bamboo
