Doubt And Decay

You crushed my world
Laid my bones bare
Crumbling stones
Nothing but dirt and air
Decomposing times
Disconnected lines
States of disrepair
Reverberating stares
Long horizons
They flash and they fade
Blue turns to purple
Yellow fades to grey
Digging deep
Underground
Gone to see what can be found
Foraging
For blood and brine
Paying respects
To older times
Shock turns to grief
Turns to rage
Turns to fear
Days turn to weeks
Turn to months
And it bleeds into
Years
My thoughts linger
On things left unsaid
All these emotions
Flooding my head
Could things be different?
Would they stay the same?
Here I am left with
Doubt and decay
