Peace On Earth

I was tryna escape
Make way for the shade
I am who I am, but not the name
They're saying alot about me
The one who never doubts me
You pulled me out of time

And I try to help
But all it do is harm
And I'm praying for myself
Cause live is hard

But, then I lost it all
I could've at least given it to the poor

For who does it profit
To gain the world, lose your soul?
I'd ask, but there's nobody I know
It's unheard of how they can just murder
Time will tell
Let the empty tomb judge my foe

You're so hard on yourself
But mostly suffer in your mind
Careful how you treat the helpless
Love is blind
And if for one second
You think you made it this far
On your own, well then
How would you know?

My sins have been paid for
I've got to be grateful
For death is sin's wages
God's got to be gracious

You told me you know me
Only one true homie
Said you'd stay down
But didn't hold me, up
Like I'm given what I put in
The output is based on the amount of discipline

Discipleship, your God's a myth
And you question everything that makes sense
And, I'm not perfect
Still smoke the spliff
And it'll roll right off the tongue
I'm tight-lipped

But I don't let men see my good works
Cause what's done in the dark
You'll see first
And why knowledge?
When, for truth you could thirst
I'm just trying to make peace on earth

But, there's a war in heaven
The battle's for your spirit
So, put your mind on God
And let your heart reveal it
So much of your part
Is just a leap of faith
I say my prayers just hoping
To see some grace
