The Bitter Dragon and His Village

Once there was a bitter dragon
The king of a village though no one liked him
His bitterness stemmed from anger
Anger of pearl with nice glim

Nobody had asked him what to do
Though always knew the situation
Yet people enjoyed his company
As long as there was no wise quotation

So people liked him yet not his truth
His anger came from him not being free
You see, all the other village members
They could say, "This is me, this is me!"

Yet all the people also knew
That when they were sad, when they were blue
They could go to the bitter dragon
And he sure could help you

He could help you when no small talk could
He could help you when no friends wanted to
For they have the same problems
And they are just as haunted too

The dragon, he's not haunted
He has faced all his fears
Yet he is bitter now in his cave
He cannot share his tears

The people are not happy with him
That's because he tells what the truth is
And the village people don't want to hear that
They think it's merely ruthless

So to this day, they stand on opposite sides
The village people stand with what hides
The dragon stands with what is
He hasn't kept the ignorance's bliss
