Transient
A rapper interned in irrational
Miss me with that National
An expat looking dapper
In rags after I rationed my enrapture
And passed pragmatic with laughter
As it stands, the plan is
To do the whole rap career backwards
Oh, so you started in your hometown?
Well I'm starting in the backwoods
Thousands of miles from anyone
Who could claim they knew me that good
No sir I ain't settling down here
I'm just passing through
I pulled the hood down to cover my face
A cowl that's been drawn over the scowl
Long shadows will crown the brow
Creating images reminiscent of crows or Crowley
Did a ritual passed down from witches and wicked individuals
After which I sang my lullaby saying sleep soundly
But good luck, cuz I'm in this for the long haul
If but if the drawn straws
Continue to favor pawns and prawns
I'll have to palm all y'all
Yeah the Monk is not calm
Clustered in the cloister with the voices in the walls
Stirring cups with their claws
Whispering I'm an imposter
Clutching at confrontation just to see if I balk
But I'm a dog and my bite is sharper then my bark
It's quite a shock
When you see him in the reeds using a straw
For breathing underwater or to drink it all
Then use it for things leaving me sneezing
With nary a wheeze or cough
Biting the head off a bullfrog or else an old god
A grown man grown accustomed to the fruit flies
Corners full of back mold horrors behind blue eyes
A white dragon
Covered in shit Tattoos
I ain't bragging at least they were free
Shit happens
My skin reminds of the story that's me
Was it comedy or tragic?
Opposites attract but I was never a magnet for plastic
Meaning fabricated
But I do have a passion for trying new actions in transit
A transient often caught playing in traffic
Plasticity was the trait to get after
But like why do I fake emotional reactions
To convince strangers who are just walking past
That I'm human too I'm not wearing a mask
I pursue my truths and I swear that they match
Please don't dwell on the facial expressions
I practiced
My camp'll be under the interstate
You wanna find it follow the scent of burnt ash
And used pampers
Eating gourmet off a cracked dinner plate
I got gave by my mate
He's a crack head but hey, who ain't?
I used to say I'll try anything once
Now I've tried everything once, or twice
Suffice it to say it was pretty damn nice
This life is experiential so I've been experimental
No matter how you slice it
I've tasted many pies it's
Gave sustenance to my mental
Miss me with that National
An expat looking dapper
In rags after I rationed my enrapture
