Moths & Leaves

Like a caravan of moths we
Fly towards the light
Since it only seems right

Tucked in a line where we can't see
The path ahead till it takes us down
I guess we're hoping that the ocean gods to drown

Like leaves fall, into the autumn breeze
We tumble towards the ground and pray that the
Wind will take us down with gallant ease
And everything resolves in the end

The heat is pleasant till
Your wings catch fire
And you desperately close your eyes

And it's only from a distance that we'll that see the path we seek
Requires us to explore the floors beneath

Like leaves fall, into the autumn breeze
We tumble towards the ground and pray that the
Wind will take us down with gallant ease
And everything resolves in the end

Where echoes of reality is haunting our charade
And forces us to turn against the parade

In an effort to shine light upon the stubborn and the blind
They're praying for a solution they'll never find

Like leaves fall, into the autumn breeze
We tumble towards the ground and pray that the
Wind will take us down with gallant ease
And everything resolves in the end

We always admire, the people who sacrifice
It's always a crime, to slothfully find
The thin red line on which we're passers by

But when did we stop to think outside of us?
To see the rust, on the pillars we trust
And resist the lust that tells us not to judge

Your conscience's not the mind of an all-seeing eye
Your world is but a reflection on the neurons of your eye
The consequence of the flaws, that you hide for a righteous cause
Is destined to doom us all
