Clouds

Do you ever take the time
To look up in the sky
Do you ever watch the clouds
Float on by

Sit back, relax
Watch them unfold
Each kind has its own
Special role

Cirrus clouds, so fine and thin
Like feathers dancing in the wind
Cumulus look like cotton candy
At a fair

Stratus spread gray and low
Covering the sky like pizza dough
Altostratus, wet weather's
Soon to come

So take a little time
And look up at the sky
Watch the amazing clouds
Float on by

A wonder of nature
Seen every day
Imagine all the things
They might say

Cumulonimbus, towering and grand
Rule the sky, as if in command
Altocumulus, ripples of
Small white waves

Stratocumulus, low and wide
Patches of calm on a sunny ride
Cirrocumulus, so small
And pristine

Lenticular, saucers up in flight
A bold and most ominous sight
Nimbostratus brings rain
Sometimes snow

A symphony of shapes and forms
With stories to be told
Underneath the sun's
Beaming rays

Every day
Every day
Clouds float on by
Every day
Mm, mm
Every day
Clouds float on by
