Bed Head

Well, I've been waking up to you with bed head in the afternoon
Sleeping in 'til one or two
The seasons tend to change our tune
Guess I couldn't find the words or anything you haven't heard
When I stayed awake just writing about the days when I was restless
And now you keep me up at night
But for reasons that I like
Just what I needed in my life
So, please know where I stand
I'm not leaving, but I swear I'll be right back
And I'm sorry

It's been such a chore to live life more
Writing 'til my wrist is sore
But where's my inspiration?
I should drop you a line
For reasons that I'm living for
Here right now, forget my lore
I'll let off the brake
I think we'll be just fine

Long walk
You could make my heart stop
Bucket list has gotten long
But summer isn't far off
Cold rain sticks around for most days
We'll stick to our old ways
Filling in the hole it's made

It's been such a chore to live life more
Writing 'til my wrist is sore
But where's my inspiration?
I should drop you a line
For reasons that I'm living for
Here right now, forget my lore
I'll let off the brake
I think we'll be just fine

Not much like waking up to you
With bed head in the afternoon
Reminisce of what we'll do
We've been through this a time or two
And poles that we would never split
Although I'm not superstitious
Think we're one thing meant to have been
Pull me in so I can live again
So I can live again
