Highway

Every morning when I'm trying to get up
Already tired at the moment the first light shines through
Trying to wake my body that feels broken from the night
From fighting all the demons that never see any light
They fade when it's time

And there I go on the highway of life
Running way too fast to escape from my ruthless mind
Running from the things that I don't wanna see
Is it better to be broken than to feel the pain that is real

All my life I got through by keeping on going
By pushing myself, harder and harder
Until that point that there is nothing left to grab on to
And my fingers will let go, one by one
I know that it's done

And yet I still go on that highway in life
