The Peasant

All day through the summer his house was closed
Each morning he went to his meadows
He got to his fields before the sun
He was the master of the season
But something in his heart told him to go further
Something like he's proud to be an earth worker

The sun was shinning so hight in the skies
But the rain was falling in his blue eyes
His desire to honor the nature
Was really his one and only prayer
But something in his heart told him to go further
Something like he's proud to be an earth worker

The days when the work was even harder
He begged the earth to make him stronger
And she always listened to his requests
Because she knew he deserved her kindness
But something in her heart told her to go further
Something like she's proud to give herself to her worker

At nightfall he felt he couldn't do more
Sleep didn't need to be prayed for
His worn out body sought appeasement
And his dreams and breathing were silent
But something in his heart told him to go further
Something like he's proud to be an earth worker
