My Poems
12 year old in the early morning
Under a table in the dark
Dreaming of poetry
Something I can't unsee
Never thinking of what's to come
The things I left behind
A world I built
Not made for change
Everyone had always said
That this love could change my life
Maybe they were right
But ever since I young
I never thought it was enough
I still gave it time
I don't have to be fixed
And I don't have to be broken
Don't have to learn there's no use in trying
To fall out of love
The stages of grief don't end
When the pain is so perfect
I don't care that I've been lonely
It's become such a story
And after everything
And all those childish dreams
Every lie that I've been told
The distrust- it grows
All those words that were stolen
When I lost my first poem
But the joy I've learned to live with
Can't be replaced
Everyone has always said
That this love has saved my life
And maybe they're right
Though ever since I young
I never thought it was enough
But I changed my mind
I don't have to be fixed
And I don't have to be broken
Don't have to learn there's no use in trying
To fall out of love
The stages of grief don't end
When the pain is so perfect
I don't care that I've been lonely
It's become such a story
It's just a story
It's just a memory
I don't feel empty
It's just a story
It's just a memory
I don't have to be fixed
And I don't have to be broken
Don't have to learn there's no use in trying
To fall out of love
The stages of grief don't end
When the pain is so perfect
I don't care that I've been lonely
It's become such a story
Under a table in the dark
Dreaming of poetry

I don't care that I've been lonely
It's become such a story
