A DnD Tale

Gather round the table, heart set on some thrills
Dice rolled out the gate, dreams of slaying kill
But oh what a sight, comedy through and through
Each plan we laid fell apart, catastrophe grew and grew

Our wizard's spellbook, empty as the night
Our rogue found locks, but none he could fight
The cleric came to heal, brought pain instead
While our warrior's sword missed, swinging overhead

Staggered through dark dungeons, lost within a maze
Stumbling over traps, a bewildering haze
Our DM just chuckled, head shaking side to side

How could such brave souls in constant strife reside
In our folly there's a tune, laughter found in every blundered rune
In every misstep, every fall, we found the heart to face it all
So here's to the wizard, whose spells went amiss

To the rogue, the locks he could never twist
Cheers to the cleric, whose cures went astray
And the warrior, who fought in his own special way
We might not be heroes in legends of yore

But in these chairs, we're the legends evermore
We roll the dice, embrace our fate
Around this table, our stories resonate
