Words from The Author (ACT IV: "a journey through the thunderstorm")
I would say if you were interested in taking some time to read something that would be
More about the journey than the destination, I think you might be interested in some of
The stuff I write
If you're looking for answers, or you're looking for a way to live your life
Or you're looking for meaning, don't come to me
But if you want to explore it, if you want to go down the road to exploring some of those
things that we all have to deal with in this human experience, I don't have any answers
I don't think a lot of the great artists ever really had any answers
It was more about what it meant to you
I think my job in writing anything is to take you on a journey where you've discovered something
At the end of that journey you didn't know at the beginning
And that's going to be different for everybody
You know, other than that, my entire life has been wandering
So I mean, my writing is about wandering
It's about a journey of some sort, but there's no real beginning or end to any of it
You know, and a journey doesn't have to be a first-person journey where you're interacting with the environment
It can be in your mind, too
What do those things remind you of?
It's the totality of your experience
Their writing changes because their experiences change, and they become less and less about
the story and more and more about the journey
You got to have harmony
In my life right now, my life's pretty simple right now, but I have harmony
You know, I come home and the woman I'm with, has a smile on her face
She's happy to see me
She's not laying on the couch drunk yelling
You know, it's harmony
My health is good
Harmony
Now I'm doing something I want to do
Harmony
Well, any good musician that I like usually has some- I mean, they're a lyricist, so they're writers
You know, we've talked about Cobain
A noise that you love?
What is a sound or noise that's your favorite?, that you love?
A thunderstorm, definitely
I agree
It's, like, soothing in a way
It reminds you of how small you are
I like that
I like that
Because it all gets back to that thing, man
You got to know your place
Yeah
And if you think you're bigger
If Mother Nature doesn't teach you your place, then you are a narcissist beyond repair
That is agreed
More about the journey than the destination, I think you might be interested in some of
