Freediving
Remind me not to inhale
I forgot to hold my breath
When we dove into this cave
And never looked back
Now I can't seem to find
Your light guiding my way
Turning my world from black to grey
As feeling in my hands begins to fade
And which way-up or down?
The wisdom creeps upon me like a drug
Death in all its kindness looking smug
My leader, muse, companion veiled as love
This watch says I'm out of time
And here I am thinking I had it all
Remind me what goeth before the fall
A soul's weight freediving will absolve
I forgot to hold my breath
When we dove into this cave
And never looked back
Now I can't seem to find
Your light guiding my way
Turning my world from black to grey
As feeling in my hands begins to fade
And which way-up or down?
The wisdom creeps upon me like a drug
Death in all its kindness looking smug
My leader, muse, companion veiled as love
This watch says I'm out of time
And here I am thinking I had it all
Remind me what goeth before the fall
A soul's weight freediving will absolve
